The sheep are chiefly merinos, which have been carefully bred and culled for the last fourteen years. The situation of this estate is peculiarly favorable, being enly about thirty miles distant from the present temporary terminus of the main trunk railway through the island, and the continuation of the line must either pass through or very close to the property. The climate ef the Nelson Province is considered the finest iu the Australasian colonies, and the Amuri District is famed for producing the choicest wool in New Zealand.
