T. R. PROCTOR begs to announce to the general public of Wellington that, during his limited stay in this city, those having an appreciation for colonial and artistic worked jewellery will have the opportunity of inspecting one of the choicest stocks in every line, and to purchase at astonishingly low prices, never heretofore surpassed. And in order that those in quest of the undermentioned goods may not be misled by erroneous impressions, T. K. P. gives as his only reason for holding an almost unreserved sale during his short stay here, that his manufactured goods are constantly adding to his already large'and very extensive stock on hand. PUBLIC NOTICE. —The purchaser of the sole right to advertise' upon a majority of the Railways, in the colony (Mr. Donne) has the honor to intimate that he is now prepared to receive orders for Advertising at the Stations and in the Carriages, and on the Backs of the Tickets on the “ Wellington and Masterton Railway,” from those clients who may be pleased to favor him with the same. StationAdvertising.— For what is known as “ Panel ” advertising at stations, a durable Plant has. been prepared for receiving announcements, constructed upon a principle specially providing for certain contingencies arising out of atmospherical variations, which experience has proved to be effective ; and all advertising of this class will, while having reference to relative and general effect, be executed in that artistic manner which has received such commendation in certain other parts of the colony. Carriage Advertising.— There are optionally four or eight only of what may be termed premier advertising positions available in the Carriages, and these are now open for selection,in order,by those advertisers who may desire to have recourse to this very effective and popular method of advertising. Ticket Advertising. —For the sole right of advertising on the Railway Tickets for a term of twelve months, or a lesser period, offers will be received until noon Wednesday, the 28th Instant, if addressed as under. The cost of printing the advertising on the Tickets to be home by the undersigned. For the information of those who may wish to secure this exclusive and admirable medium of publicity, it should be mentioned that the passenger traffic on the line for the past year, as represented by official returns, was upwards of 195,500 (one hundred and ninety-five thousand five hundred.)
