The Clio was built in Auckland in 1871, of the very-best material, is 81 tons register, with centre-board, is a good model, light draught, say 7ft. 6in. when deeply laden. «Saila fast, and carries s about 65,000 ft. of sawn timber (kauri), or about 120 tons deadweight; standing and running rigging Id kept ‘in good order. Some of the sails are new; all in good repair; has been recently refitted, and is now in firstclass order. She is fitted with bow ports for taking in extra long lengths of timber.
