The cable steamer Agnes came alongside the Queen’s wharf yesterday afternoon for the purpose of taking inja supply of fresh water. • The s.s. Stormbird and p.s. Manawatu sailed for Wanganui at 7 o’clock last evening. The ketch Jane Elkin left the breastwork for Pelorus Sound yesterday evening at 6 o’clock. The s.s Napier arrived from Foxton yesterday at 2 a.m. She left there at 1 p.m;. the previous day, and had fine weather down. She will sail this afternoon is announced to sail for Napier and Poverty Bay on Monday next. . . _ , . The New. Zealand Shipping Co, s Ocean Mail is turning out her cargo In good order. She will go from this port to Newcastle, and is expected to be despatched on the 20th inst.: i __ The Union Company's s.s.
