(RKITJER’S SPECIAL TO PRESS AGENCYJ ' ‘ London, January 3. After the sitting of the Conference on Monday, Salisbury visited , Mushad Pasha, Minister for Foreign Affairs, and insisted that the interest of Turkey would be her acceptance of proposals submitted by the Conference. Mushad Pasha expressed willingness with regard to certain points, but absolutely rejects anything that Would be contrary to the dignity and integrity of the Turkish Empire. There has been a serious overflow of the Thames, and the rainfall continues. Melbourne, Friday, The Arawata left yesterday. Mr. J. Anderson is a passenger by the Suez mail for New Zealand. At Geelong yesterday the Englishmen scored 155, with eight wickets down. Sydney, Friday. Markets— Case brandy, 335. 6d. to 345.; quarters, 9s. 9d. to 10s.; kerosene, 3s.
