She left there at 12.15 a.m., and crossed the bar at 12.4 ? ; had fresh head winds down. The Stormbird will return to Wanginui at 8 o'clock to-night. The schooner Cynthia sailed for Pelorus Sound yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The ship Jessie Readman came off the Patent blip yesterday morning, and sailed round to the wharf with the aid of her canvas and the s.s. Moa. She • was berthed at the wharf in the afternoon, where she will take in the remainder of her cargo for London. The ship Avalanche was towed round to the Patent Slip yesterday afternoon by the s.s. Stormbird. The ketch Reliance sailed for Kaipara yesterday evening at 6 o'cl«ck. . ~_ The p.s. Manawatu, Captain Harvey, from Wanganui arrived here yesterday evening at 6.20 0 clock. She sailed from Wanganui at 11 p.m. on the 3rd inst., • and crossed the bar at 11.45 p.m.; arrived at Kapiti at ' 6 am., took on board wool, and left at 11 40 a.m. Experienced fine weather with light variable wind -o Kapiti, thence till arrival fre3h head winds. The . Manawatu will return to Wanganui this evening.
