WAIHENGA RACES.
The Waihenga races took place on Boxing; Day, and proved to bo as attractive as usual. The weather was beautifully fine, and there was excellent sport, some of the events being very hotly contested The races resulted as follows: Hurdle Rack of 20sovs., one and a half miles. Mr. K. Kenall’s Steeltrap 1 Mr. J. Desmond’s Kangaroo.. .. ~ 2 Hack Hurdle Race, £lO, one mile. Wakahl .. .. .. .. .. .. 1 Maiden Plate, £ls, one and a half miles. Mr. R. Tilson’s Patch.. . . .. 1 Mr. D. Knight’s Tauherenlkau ... .. 2 IVaihenoa Stakes, £25, two miles. Mr. D. Knight’s Voltairina .. .. ~' 1 Mr. B. Greathead’s Little Wonder.. 2 Hurry Skurry, £l2, three quarters of a mile. Mr. J. Maoara’s Blue Jacket A ..I Ladies’ Purse, £ls, two miles. Mr. R. Greathead’s Little Wonder .. 1 Mr. J. Renall’s Playboy .2 Mr. R. Renall’s Steeltrap 3 Hack Race. .
