(REVISE'S SPECIAL TO PRESS AGENCY Sydney, Monday The weather during the last three days has been intensely hot. In some parts of the country the thermometer has ranged from 130 to 140 in the shade. Intercolonial telegrams report a similar temperature, and a number of deaths from sunstroke.

The Government has requested these colonies and New Zealand to consent to a cable conference in Sydney, instead of in [Melbourne or Launceston.

An Adelaide telegram states that the schooner Postboy capsized in a squall off Glenelg. Six of the passengers and crew were drowned. The mate was rescued after being seven hours in the water.
