Entries must be made to the Secretary, at the New Zealander Hotel, Manners-street, Wellington, as follows : —Maiden Race, New Year's Handicap, 100 yards, 220 yards, 440 yards, 880 yards, One Mile, Stone and Basket Race, Hurdle Handicap, Bicycle Handicap, and Walking Handicap, on or before Monday, the 18th December. Handicaps will be declared on Wednesday, the 20th December, and acceptances will be received up to 10 o'clock on Friday, the 29th December. Entries for the remaining events will be received at the Secretary's Office on the ground on the day of the Sports. The races are open to all, and will be run under the rules of the Society. Nominators must state colors at the time of entry, as well as their Post Office addresses. The time for receiving entries and acceptances will be strictly adhered to. No nominations or acceptances will be received unless accompanied with the preper The decisions of the Directors, or whoever they may appoint, shall in all cases of dispute I be final. In the event of the weather proving unfavorable, the Directors shall have it in their power to postpone the Sports from day to day. Sports to commence at 11 o'clock sharp.
