Brandies are firm at the advance noted in our last report, and as the advanced quotations in London show a rise of about Is Gd per gallon upon 1875’s and the older vintages, they will probably bo further advanced here, as stocks are only moderate —we quote present rates of holders for Martells and Hennessy’s brands, 8s Od per gallon for quartets ; 3.s to 33s per dozen for case. ... In colonial produce there is no change, with the single exception of flour, which has gone up to £l6 15s and £l7 per ton for Canterbury and Oamaru mills, for sacks in trade lots. Oats are held for 2s 9cl to 3s 3d per bushel, according to sample, our stocks being light, and the Southern farmers being apparently in a position to hold back supplies at present values. Potatoes dull at 7os to 80s per ton; bacon and hams, in moderate supply at Jil to ICkl per lb for prime cure; cheese, dull at 9jd to 10U per lb. BANK OF NEW SOOTH WALES.
