Otago, Captain Calder, arrived In harbor at 9 o’clock yesterday morning,' She Is from Melbourne and Hobarton, via the South, and left Hobson’s Bay at noon on the 26th ult., cleared Fort Phillip Heads at 2.30 p.m; had fine weather to Hobarton, arriving there at noon on the 27th. Shipped passengers and cargo, and left there in the evening. Light winds, with fine weather, were experienced to the Bluff, where she arrived at 7 p.m. on the 31st; left at 4.30 p.m. on the Ist, and reached Port Chalmers at 6 a.m. «n the'2nd, Landed there 214 tons cargo and 465 sheep, and left at 1.45 on the 3rd. Arrived at Lyttelton at oa.m. next day. leaving again that afternoon at ten minutes paste o’clock, ami arrived here as above. Experienced, fine weather, with" light winds up the coast,- Wo thank Mr. Birch, the purser, for report and delivery of exchanges. The Otago'will sail for Sydney, via the West Coast, to-day. ‘ The Union Company’s s.s. Hawea, Captain Wheeler" from Southern ports arrived here at 7.80 a.m, yesterday. She left Port Chalmers at 2 p.m, on the 3rd instant; arrived at Lyttelton at 6.15 a.m on tho4tb; left same day at 6 o’clock p.m., and arrived here as above. Had light easterly winds with fine ■weather along the coast.- Wa have to thank Mr. Dougherty, the purser, for report and files. The Hawea will sail for Plcton, Nelson. New Plymouth, and Mannkan at 2 o’clock this afternoon. The p.s. Charles Edward, Captain Whitweli, arrived at the wharf yesterday at 10.15 a.m. from Nelson, having left there _ on. the 4th at 6,30 p.m. Experienced a fresh S.E. wind across.
