Settlers who have gone northwards; from Deniliqnin district, and have settled in the northern districts. of New South Wales, are digging wells on their new leaseholds, and (says the Pastoral , Times) are unearthing curious bones of extinct animals. Mr. Wolseley has brought away a tooth dug up , from a depth of 40 feet on his new northern station. It somewhat resembled, on a large; scale, a horse’s front tooth; but it evidently belonged to some animal never seen by whites in Australia. In sinking wells in the Warrego district, bones of , this kind are often eo unearthed, proving clearly that that, part of the continent of New Holland was once submerged, and indicating, that the now great salt bush country, on which we fatten our flocks and herds, 1 was once an inland sea. r ; A salmon grilse, three '.pounds weight, has been caught with a fly at New Norfolk, Tasmania. ■ ■ !-• ‘' ;! - Valuable Discovery fob, the Hair. — lf your! hair is.tuming grey or white; or falling off, use: •* The Mexican Hair Bencwer." for it will positively restore, in every case Grey or White hair to its original ‘ color, without leaving the.diaagreeable'spidl of moat i “Restorers.” It makes the hair charmingly, beautiful, as well as promoting the growth of tils hair on bald, spots, where the glands -are not 'decayed.'
