In a handbill posted up by the Galashiels School Board, intimating the resumption of the school there within its jurisdiction, appears, underneath the scale of fees, the following concise' but comprehensive declaration : “ These fees cover religious instruction, singing, pens, ink, and blotting paper.”—From a Glasgow paper. “Mark Twain on Bad. Musicians.” The musical, public. and ,general readers are cautioned not to purchase Weston’s Oil and Magle Pills without carefully examining the outside wrapper, and be sure that the words, " None Genuine without the Signature op the Proprietor—Frank Wes ton, Sydney, N.S.W,”—are engraven thereon.
