H. Wallace held his regular monthly sale of stock at the Hutt Market yesterday (the 4th). There was a large attendance, attracted no doubt by the show of entires. Young Lofty was withdrawn at £160; a pen of cattle sold at £4 2s. 6d. to £0 per head for cows; a bull, £5 10s.; and several useful horses at £8 to £22105. The market requires more encouragement from ihe breeders of stock, and better pens should be erected and accommodation afforded for conducting the market. • -
