Corresponding quarter, 1875, £42,50593. 6d. There has been no improvement in the demand for imported goods during the past week, prices generally being in favor of buyers. Sugars are firm at the advance noted last week, and arc quoted at—fo, Sydney Company's X.C., £44 10s. to £45. ; No. 2 W., £46 10s. ; and brewers' crystals. £44 per ton, duty paid. Hennessy's case brandy firm, at 325.; Martell’s, 30s. per case; bulk brandies unaltered. : Tobacooes have an upward tendency, holders asking 3d. per lb, advance on last month’s quotations. We are sorry to have to report the suspension of the firm of Sellars and Co., with liabilities estimated at about £30,000, with assets in excess of that amount. At a meeting of the creditors to-day it was resolved that Messrs Thompson and Capper should inspect the accounts of the firm, and bring up a report at a future meeting. In the produce market there has been little or no change, business being flat, and limited to current wants. ‘ Oats are in full supply, at 2s. 4d. to 2s. 9d. per bushel; fowls’ wheat, 4s. 6d.: milling do., Bs. 3d. per bushel. Flour is firm at £l3los. to £l4 per ton for best brands of Canterbury and Oamaru in sacks in, trade lots. Cheese -Full stock, at lOd. per lb. • Hams and bacon are overstocked, at 9d. to 9W. per lb.
