The schooners Onward and Colleen Bawn, for Pelorus Sound, sailed yesterday. The ship Midlothian, bound for Calcutta, was towed down to the fairway from the wharf yesterday afternoon by the s.s. lloa. The ship Waikato will go on to the Patent Slip to have her bottom cleaned preparatory to loading for London. The steamer Wellington, with . the Suez mail on board, will arrive here from Lyttelton this morning. She will leave for Northern ports to-morrow at 2 p m. The steamer Manawatu will leave here to-morrow evening at 7 o'clock for Wanganui. The barque Malay, Captain Millman, sailed for Hobarton yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The s.s. Eangatira will sail for Napier and Poverty Bay at 5 o'clock this evening. Messrs. Beck and Tonks topsail schooner Young Dick has arrived at Hobarton. The Union Co.'s Wakatipu is advertised to sail for Lyttelton and Port Chalmers on Thursday, the 2Sth inst. , , The brig "Woodlark, which left Newcastle the second time for this port on the 11th instant, had to put back again to Newcastle, owing to having encountered the heavy gale in which the steamer Dandenong was lost.

A schooner, supposed to be the Richard and Mary, arrived here last night at 9.30. The schooner Saucy Lass, Captain Callow, with a cargo of 25,000 ft. sawn timber for Messrs. Greenfield and?tewart, arrived here last night at 8.30. She left the Sound on Saturday at noon, but owing to the strong southerly wind blowing had to come to an anchor on Sunday under Mana Island. Left there at 7 o'clock yesterday morning, andhadaN.W. wind through the Strait and till arrival here as above. The steamer Tui, Captain Bonner, got out of Foxtoa at 11 a.m. on Sunday. Experienced heavy S.E. gale, and had to anchor under Mana Island till 1 o'clock yesterday morning, when she left, arriving here at 5 a.m. yesterday. Saw the schooners Elizabeth Curie, Oreti, and Theresa, from this port bound to "Wanganui, at anchor under Kapiti, also the schooner Saucy Lass under Mana Island. The Tui returned to Foxton yesterday afternoon shortly after 5 oclock. •The schooners Cvnthia and Endeavour and the brigantine Hannah Eroomfleld cleared the Heads yesterday forenoon.
