THE OPPOSITION TACTICS EXCITE DISGUST IN DUNEDIN.

(from odr own correspondent.) Dunedin, Saturday. The following letter, which has already received over 500 signatures, will be despatched to Mr. Macandrew by Tuesday’s steamer—- “ Gentlemen, —We, the undersigned, electors of the City of Dunedin, feel impelled at this juncture in public affairs to express to you our opinion of the political situation in Wellington. We are wearied and disappointed with the barren and prolonged debate of this session, on Piako Swamp, separation, abolition, disqualification, &c. We are of opinion that direct and exhaustive discussion on finance and counties should have been held long ago, for the benefit alike of representatives and electors, and we think it is high time that all members of the House combined to put a stop to personalities, wranglings, and factious obstructions, and addressed themselves strictly to the business of the country.—We have, &c., E. B. Cargill, Robert Wilson, .1. Rattray, William Baldwin, Henry Tewsley, J. S. Wright, P. C. Neill, J. S. Webb, David Baxter, Walter Guthrie, H. S. Fish, Hugh J. McLean, William Fraser, William Schular, &c., &c. —To Messrs. Macandrew, Stout, and Lama.'li, members for Dunedin in the House of Representatives.”
