Mosgiel carried resolutions in effect similar to other meetings on the political questions, and one regretting that Mr. Donald Reid should have seen fit to have changed his opinions on the land question. Mr. H. Carrick has been nominated for the Peninsula Electoral District in the Provincial Council. Government is to be asked to sanction the formation of a fire brigade in connection with the railway station. Roberts beat Weston last night by 180 points. The champion's largest score was 189, or 54 in excess of any previous break. He also made 39 consecutive spot shots in one break.
