Mb. Murray, the member for Bruce, is a modest man. He waited on Mr. Howe, member for the Thames, yesterday, and informed that gentleman that he had received a letter from the Thames, stating that three-fourths of the population there was in favor of Sir George Grey, and askinghim to cause, if possible, a searching inquiry to he made into matters connected with the Thames water-race. Mr, Murray asked for Mr. Howe’s co- operation in this direction. Mr. Howe, who, as an honorable member has been heard to remark, was not born yesterday, replied that if his constituents wished anything to be done they should communicate directly with him, and not through the member for Bruce. Mr. Bo we also remarked that Thames matters were now being well looked after by himself and certain delegates from there.
