HMHERE is much speculation abroad just I now as to who shall be sent to England as Agent-General. It is within the range of possibilities that I may be chosen. Besides, I feel assured I possess one qualification necessary—l am good at borrowing. But other things stand in the way. I have lately bought a large stock of choice goods at prices much below their value, and I am anxious that every man in Wellington should have one of my stylish suits of clothes at £i or 10s. ready money.
