The steamer Clyde, after undergoing a thorough overhaul on Meech’s slip, came alongside the -wharf yesterday afternoon. Several new plates have been put In her bottom, and sundry repairs have been effected, including a new donkey engine. She la expected to sail for the North this evening. The Manawatu will sail for Wanganui this aftern<Thes,s. Tui sailed for Foxton and the West Coast at C. 30 p.m. yesterday. The Union Company's s.s. Wellington arrived in harbor at 8.30 yesterday morning. She left Port Chalmers aU p.m. on Saturday, and arrived at Lyttelton at noon on Sunday; sailed again at 5 o'clock yesterday evening, and arrived here as above. The Vt ellington was docked at Fort Chalmers for cleaning, &c. She sailed for Northern ports at 2.15 yesterday afternoon. . , . , The topsail schooner Zior arrived here yesterday morning from Oamam. The ship Sarah Bell, bound to Newcastle, cleared the Heads yesterday morning. The s.s. Kiwi left Napier at 5.30 p.m, on Monday, and arrived here at U. 30 last night. Had strong S.S.W. breeze, with very heavy sea, on the run down. The Kiwi will sail for Castlepoint and Napier this evening. The barque John Knox hauled from tho wharf yesterday afternoon and sailed down to the fairway. She will sail for Lyttelton with the first fair wind. The s.s. Kangatira left Napier at 10.46 a.m, on Monday, and arrived hero at 4.15 p.m. yesterday. Had head winds all the way. She will sail for the East Coast this afternoon at 4 o'clock. _ The Union Company's s.s. Taapo, Captain Worap, arrived here yesterday afternoon at 3 p.m. from the Northern ports. She left Onelmnga on Saturday, and arrived at New Plymouth at 4 a.m, on Sunday; sailed at 7 a.m., and reached Nelson at 11.30 p.m. same day; left for Pictoh at 9,30 a.m. on Monday, and arrived there at 4 p.m. She was detained there owing to a heavy log till 10 a.m. yesterday when the weather cleared up ; but on proceeding down the sound the log came up again as thick as ever and the vessel was stuck up for about an hour, when it rose off, and tiie vessel was able to proceed on her way, arriving here as above. Fine weather was experienced during the other part of the run. Site sailed for the Southern ports at 5.30 p.m.
