She sailed for Wellington via Greymouth and Nelson last evening. No later news. Sailed : Maori, for Jackson Bay. KAIKOURA, Tuesday. Arrived : Matau, from Wellington. AUCKLAND, Tuesday. Arrived : Flirt and Fairlie, from Lyttelton. Sailed; Pretty Jane, for Napier. The barque Crownhope has arrived from London, after a voyage of 109 days. The crew during the passage broached the cargo and became very mutinous. The captain, with the aid of a few passengers, suppressed the threatened outbreak, and put the whole of the crew on bread and water for two days. BLUFF, Tuesday. Arrived ; Albion, at 4 p.m. She left Melbourne on the 3rd, cleared the Heads at 5 p.m. Experienced light winds ; heavy rain on the 7th; strong N.W. gale, with very high sea and thick weather. Passengers for Dunedin—Saloon: Messrs. Price, Jacobs, Elliott, Jack, Morlel, Mrs. Langman, Punce, Miss Jeffrey, 10 steerage, and 139 tons cargo. For Lyttelton : Mrs. McFarlane, Messrs. The s.s. Stonnblrd, Captain Dalle, left Wanganui at 11.30 p.rn. on Monday, towed the schooner Aspasla bound for Kaipara out, and cleared the bar at 1 a.m. Experienced fresh northerly breeze till arrival here at noon yesterday. The Stormbird will sail for "Wanganui to-night at 7 o'clock. , , The Union Company's s.s. Taranaki, Captain Andrew, arrived here yesterday at noon from Northern ports. She loft the Manukau at 8.80 a.m. on Sunday, and arrived at Taranaki at 10 o clock same night; left at 1.30 a.m, on Monday, and arrived at Nelson at 8 p.m. same day; sailed again at 10 p.ra., and reached I’icton at 6.30 p.m. yesterday. An hour and a-half afterwards saw her steam away for this port, arriving here as above. Experienced N.W, •winds all the way. She left again for the South at 4.30 p.rn. yesterday. The s.s. Itangatira left Poverty Bay on Friday evening, but had to take shelter under Happy Jack’s same night in consequence of heavy southerly gale;" sailed again on Saturday .night, and arrived at Kapler on Sunday afternoon; sailed again at 10 a.m. on Monday; from Napier to Cape Palliscr experienced S.W. winds, thence till arrival N.W. The Kangatlra will leave for the East Coast this evening. The p.s. M&nawalu left Wanganui at 11.30 a.m. on Monday; took the schooners Strathnaver and Arthur Wakefield, both bound for Pelorus Sound, in tow, but had to cast them oil inside the bur, it being too rough
to attempt to bring them outside; crossed the bar at 12.30* p.m., and arrived here at 1 o’clock yesterday morning. The Manawatu will leave hero again for Wanganui at 7 o'clock to-night. ‘ ■ . ; The p.s. Wallace arrived here yesterday morning at 1 o’clock from Nelson and Picton. She left kelson at 9 a.m. on Monday, and reached Picton at 5.30 p.m.;, left two hours afterwards, arriving here-as above.
