A steady demand for all articles of consumption is manifest in every department both in town and country buyers, bitt sales are restricted to current wants, with an absence of all speculative purchases. Prices continue low and unaltered from our month’s quotations. In colonial produce, keg butter is in moderate demand at Is. 2d. to Is. 3d. per lb. for prime samples, but inferior sorts, of which there is a large quantity in store, is worth from 7d. to 9d. per lb. Cheese dull, at 9d. to lOd. per lb. for Canterbury make. Hams and bacon, owing to full supplies coming forward, cannot be quoted higher than Bd. to 9d. per lb. for bacon. Is. for hams. Oats are in full supply at 2s. 6d. to 2s. Bd. for ordinary feeding sorts; prime seed oats have been quitted at 3s. per bushel. Chick wheat in fair supply at 4s. Potatoes—Market bare during the week, but several small shipments have been received during the last day or two, and quotations now rule firm at 80s. per ton. BY TELEGRAPH. CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. Export prices f.o.b. at Lyttelton:—Wheat, 4s. 9d. to 55.; oats, 2s. 2d. Barley nominal. Flour, £ll to £l2 ; bran, £5 10s.; sharps, £6 10s ; cheese, 9Jd.; butter, Is. 2d. to Is. 3d. ; potatoes, £2 17s. 6d. to £3 ; hams aud bacon, 9Jd. in cloth. AUCKLAND, Friday. Mr. Binney reports;—Flour (star), £l4; superfine, £l2 10s. ; sharps, £8; bran, £7 10s.; Southern flour, £l2 10s.; bacon, lOd. to lOld. ; butter. Is. to Is. Id.; jams, 7s. Od. to 7s. 9d.; oats, 35.; wheat, ss. Od.; maize, Mr. Backhand reports:—Fat cattle, 275. 6d, to 305.; ship-borne, 275. 6d. to 30s, Fat sheep short. Store ewes, 17s.
