The ship Warlock, which arrived at Auckland some time ago, left that port for Lyttelton on Wednesday last, where she will load for London under the auspices of the N.Z.S. Co. They expect to despatch her about the 15th prox. The p.s. Manawatu and the s.s. Stormbird sailed for Wanganui yesterday afternoon ; the former at 3.20, and the latter at 8.35. The s.s. Wellington will sail for Northern Ports at 1 p.m. to-day. The schooner Oreti went on the Hard to-day for the purpose of receiving an overhaul. The schooner Saucy Lass and ketch Thames for Pelorus Sound sailed yesterday. The schooner Aurora resumed her voyage yesterday for the East Coast, after having had to put back twice owing to strong head winds. The s.s. Napier for Foxton and Rangitikei, and the s s. Matau for Foxton, sailed yesterday afternoon. The s.s. Kiwi will sail for Castle Point and Napier, taking cargo for Poverty Bay, at 2 o’clock this afternoon. The Ringarooma, which left here on Wednesday evening, had to come to an anchor in Worser Bay, the wind and sea being too heavy for her to proceed against with safety. She got away early yesterday morning. , The p.s. Luna got steam up yesterday morning for the purpose of proceeding with sounding operations, but a telegram from the Heads stated that there was too heavy a sea running in the Strait to allow of operations being carried on. She will, if the weather is at all favorable, sail early this morning. The Union Company’s s.s. Taupo, Captain Worsp, arrived here last night from Northern ports at 9,30. She left Onehunga on Tuesday at 3.30 p.m.; arrived off Taranaki on Wednesday at 9 a.m.; sailed at 11 a m. same day, and arrived at Nelson on Thursday morning at 6 o'clock ; left same tide at 8, and arrived in Picton at 3.30 p.m.; sailed again at 4 p.m., arriving here as above. The Taupo will sail for the South this afternoon.
