Love, —In my house during the month of May, 1876, the gas account showed an increase of only ss. 6d., although there were three extra burners going all the month to what were used in 1875. For the month of June, 1876, the account for gas was within a fraction of 33 per cent, less than the same month, 1875, with the same number of burners, as nearly as I can judge.
