TO THE BDITOE OF THE NEW ZEALAND TIMES. Sib, —The suggestion of Sir. Graham, re higher education, is not only feasible, but was to some extent carried but in a few of the Wairarapa schools several years ago. One lad from Masterton, after an absence of tw<3 years from school, with a few months at one of the Wellington schools, took a high place in. the Civil Service examination. Higher branches are, or at least were, taught in theGreytown school. Competent masters must, of course, have better pay,' and • sufficient teaching power to allow them.to devote most of their time to such higher branches.—l am, An ’ Parens.. Wairarapa, June 30,
