The schooner Marmion, Captain Bowton, arrived in harbor yesterday forenoon from the Kaipara, which port she left on Sunday last. Crossed the bar at 11 a.m. Experienced light northerly winds and calms to the Heads, and thick dirty weather. The Dido, cutter, Shilling, master, from Blenheim, arrived in harbor yesterday. She left Blenheim on Wednesday morning at six. Had light N.E. winds and fine weather across the Strait till arriving near the Heads, then thick dirty, weather, arriving in port yesterday at 5 a. m. , .. The s.s. Ladybird, Captain H. J. C. Andrew, left the wharf yesterday for Picton, Nelson, Taranaki, and Manukau at 2.10 p.m. The barque Australlnd, Captain Oliver, sailed for Newcastle yesterday afternoon with a good number of passengers. , , The s.s. Phcsbe, Captain Worsp, steamed for Southern ports at 4.15 p.m. yesterday. The schooner Aspasia arrived in harbor yesterday afternoon from Wangaehu (East Coast), with a cargo of 01 bales of wool consigned to E. Pearce. She left Wangaehu on Tuesday evening. Had light southerly and easterly winds and thick dirty weather on approaching the Heads. _ The s.s. Stormbird, Captain Doile, left the wharf at Wanganui on Wednesday at 10.30 p.m. Crossed the bar at 11.15, arriving alongside the Queen’s Wharf at 10 a.m. yesterday. Experienced light N.E ; winds to Tefawiti, from thence strong N.W. wind, with; heavy rain and thick weather. The p s. Manawatu, Captain Evans, left Wanganui Wharf at 10.15 p.ni. on Wednesday; with the schooner - Awaroa and ketch Thames •in tow. Crossed the bar at 11.5 p.m.; cast off the vessels at 11.35, and proceeded. Experienced light moderate weather and smooth water to Kapiti, thence to Terawiti light N.W. winds, and to the Heads strong N.W., with t-Wi plr foggy weather, and arrived alongside the wharf at 10.20 a.m. yesterday. She left again for Wanganui at 7 p.m. last night. , .The three-masted schooner May, Captain Plumley, will sail for Svdney direct this day. The s.s. Wellington, from Northern ports, is due here this day, and may be expected early in the foren°The s.s. Taranaki. Captain Lloyd, left Dunedin at 7.15 p.m. on the 23th, arrived at Lyttelton at 4.30 ■p.m. on the 29th, Left at 7.30 p.m., arriving at Wellington at 5.15 p.m. Experienced strong head winds and thick weather from Dunedin. Saw the brigantine Sea Gull south of Bank’s Peninsula.
