Ringarooma, Captain John McLean, left Melbourne on the ISth inst., entering Milford Sound - on the 22nd, and arrived at the Bluff on the 24th ; left again the same day, reaching Port Chalmers on the 25th ; she left on the next day, arriving at Lyttelton on the 27th : left again the same day, and made fast alongside the wharf yesterday morning. Experienced N.E. winds and fine weathe -. from Melbourne to the Bluff, and light north-west winds and foggy • weather on the New Zealand coast. The s.s. Taupo, Captain Macfarlane, left the wharf at 8 30 a.ra. on Monday with excursionists, arriving at Picton at 1 p.m. Left again at 5 p.m., and arrived alongside the wharf at 10.10 p.m. same day. Experienced fresh N.W. wind and smooth water across ' the Strait, accompanied with thick dirty weather and drizzling rain. The passengers, oae and all, speak highly of the comfort and accommodation provided, and all seemed to have enjoved the excursion. The s.s. Ladybird, Captain H. J C. Andrew, from Nelson with excursionists, arrived alongside- the wharf at 12.30 yesterday. She left Wellington on Saturday, the 25th, for Nelson, wii.li about 250 passengers, and after a very smooth-and pleasant passage, she reached that port at 6.30 the following morning ' (Sunday). She left Nelson at 8.30 p.m. 27th, but owing to dense fog, she had to go at easy speed. The . excursionists, on arriving at the wliarf, gave Captain Andrew three cheers, showing that attention, kindness, and comfort had been shown by the captain and '' officers of the Ladybird to make on'S and all happy. The Ruby, schooner, Dalton, mister, from Waipapa, arrived in harbor yesterday norning. She left -Wellington on Tuesday evening last, but owingto dense fog, she came to an anchor in Worsers Bay till Friday morning, and then proceeded for Waipapa; arriving there in she afternoon of the same day. Took on board a quantity of wool, »nd left on Saturday, the 25th, at 0.30 p.m. Had licht variable winds and thick foggy weather to arrival. Sighted a brig, ■ a barque, and a topsail schooner, all bound North. She leaves again this day for White Rocks. The s.s. Ringarooma, Captain John McLean, will leave for Melbourne, via West Co ist ports, this day at 9 a.m. The Kate, schooner, left Wangan li on Sunday at 8 p.m., and arrived in harbor at. 1 p.m. yesterday. Had fresh north-west winds and thick hazy weather all the way. She brings forty bales of wool to order. The s.s. Hawea, Captain Wheeler, left Nelson at 8 p.m. on 27th with excursionists, and was detained in the Strait for nine hours owing to the intense fog. She arrived alongside the wharf at 3 p.m. yesterday, all seeming pleased with the trip. The mainmast of the three-mastsd schooner May, "belonging to Messrs. W. and G. Turnbull, was shipped yesterday, and some of the rigging placed over the masthead. The sailing of the s.s. Hawea, Captain Wheeler, is postponed till 2 p.m. this day, and also that of the s.s. Eangatira. for Napier, till 5 p.m. this day. The s.s. Taupo, Captain Macfarlane, left for the South at 5.30 yesterday afternoon. The s.s. Otago, Captain Calder, also left for Melbourne via Southern ports yesterday at 4.15 p.m.
