Electoral Notices TinO THE ELECTORS OF THE WELJL LINGTON COUNTRY DISTRICT. Gentlemen, — I beg to offer myself to represent you again in the House of Repreentatives. Questions of vital importance to the future welfare of the colony must be discussed and determined in the ensuing Parliament, particularly with reference to the administration of local affairs, the financial position of the colony, and taxation. I will take an early opportunity of meeting and explaining fully to you my views on these and other subjects. In the meantime, allow me to remain, Gentlemen, Your very faithful servant, A. de B. IN* PURSUANCE of the Regulation of Elections Act, 1870, I, James Coutts Crawford, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of City of "Wellington, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ, bearing date the sixth day of December, 1875, under the Public Seal of the Colony, an election will be held for the return of two qualified persons to serve as Members of the House of Representatives for the said Electoral District, and that the Nomination of Candidates will take place at the Resident Magistrate's Courthouse, Wellington, at noon, on the 20th day of December, 1875, and that the Poll, if necessary, will bo taken on the 23rd day of December, 1875. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on THURSDAY, the 6th day of JANUARY, 1876, 25,000 acres (more or less) of Agricultural Lands, situate in the Rangitumau Block, in the Wairarapa District, will, in terms of a Proclamation issued by his Honor the Superintendent, on the 26th day of November last, be open for sale, at this office, on application, at ten shillings (10s.) per aero. A SERIES of LAND SALES is being held in the PROVINCE of TARANAKI under the Waste Lands Board of the province, the Lands offered being Town and Rural Allotments, the latter varying in area from 20 to 320 acres, and the conditions of sale being by DEFERRED PAYMENTS extended over Ten Years, by Auction, for CASH; and by FREE SELECTION for CASH. The di trict is traversed by the Waitara-Wangan Railway, now in course of construction, and ■which is expected to be completed as far as Inglewood—the Township at the commencement of the district —in about eighteen months. The land is well adapted to working settlers of small capital, as it is easily accessible, has abundance of timber for building, fencing, fuel, and shelter; never-failing streams of water, and a very productive soil.
