"VTOTICE is hereby given, that by an Order Xl of this Honorable Court made herein, on THURSDAY, the ninth day of December instant: It was ordered that personal service on the respondent of the petition in this cause, as amended pursuant to leave in that behalf, granted on the tenth day of September last, be dispensed witb : And that in lieu of such personal service, a copy of such amended petition be deposited witb the Registrar of this Honorable Court, at Wellington, on behalf of the respondent; and that notice of such deposit be published twice in the Colonist newspaper published in the city of Nelson, the second of such publications to take place at an interval of not less than seven and not more than fourteen days from the date of the first of such publications; and that notice of such deposit be published once in the New Zealand Times newspaper, published in the city of Wellington. And it was also ordered that the respondent do have twentyeight days’ time to appear in this cause, such twenty-eight days to be computed from, but exclusive of the day upon which notice of such deposit shall first have been published in either of the said newspapers.
