AUCKLAND, Monday: Arrived : The Lizzie Fox and Kate Brain: from D &uuS>; The Taranaki, for South. PassengersSister of Mercy, Mesdames Masefield. Bertram. Tomlinson, Irwin, Shrimski, Hollister, Miss Cardno, Messrs. Tomlinson, Shrimski, Seccomb, Pittaz, Campbell. Sinclair, Eegan, Green, Jas. and John Pregallas, Hollister, Tuck,, and Master Blanche!, besides others bpoked at Onehtmga. The s.s. Napier.-Captain Butt, left Foxton at2p m. on the 19th, towed the schooner Herald over the bar, and then returned with the ketch Forest Queen, towing her inward, finally crossing the bar at 4.50 p m • called at Kapiti, and received 29 bales of wool, arriving alongside the wharf at 6.30 ou yesterday. Captain Butt reports the schooner Julius Yogel as having arrived off the Foxton tor. Experienced light winds and fine weather. . _ . .... -The p.s. Lnna, Captain Fairchild, grived in harbor yesterday afternoon, from Taranaki, Opnnake', and Waitara, which latter place she left on Sunday at 3 p.m and Opnnake at S p.m. Experienced strong S E winds to the Heads. She landed Major Atkinson at Taranaki, and Captain Fairchild took advantage of patting a charge of powder nnder the wreck of the p.s Paterson, and found it not a hard job to blow her up The first charge blew the stem out of her, and in the course of a week there, would not he a vestige left of her if continued. The fine schooner Owake arrived in harbor yesterday forenoon, with a cargo of timber from Havelock. The s.s. Stormbird steamed to Evans Bay yesterday, for the purpose of being taken on tbe Slip to have bar bottom cleaned. She comes off again this forenoon, and sails for Wanganui at 2 p.m. this day. The ketch Eeliance, Hart, master, left Foxton on Saturday, and arrived in harbor at an early hour yesterday. Had moderate winds throughout. The ketch Falcon will leave for Blenheim this day. The s s Napier, Captain Butt, steamed from the wharf last night at T o’clock for Foxtom The s.s. Wellington, from the South, is expected to arrive early this forenoon, and is advertised to leave for northern ports to-morow. The s a. Tui, Captain Bonnar, arrived at 11 o clock last night from Blenheim, and reports the brig Neptune. bound for Newcastle, as having cleared the Heads.
