Martin, and Bumes, the manager of the company, R. S. Ledger, Esq., and alarge number of the fair sex. She left the Queen's Wharf at 2.30 p.m., and proceeded at easy speed to Evans' Bay, taking a turn round theshiprit. Leonards, lyingataochor off the Patent Blip. On heading out of the bay, and the engines having become warm by this time, she gave a specimen of her greatly increased speed, the engines making 30 revolutions with 151 b. of steam, and the vessel going at the rate of 9J knots per hour, without any perceptible vibration. She was then headed for Somes' Island, and back to the Queen's Wharf, arriving alongside at 5 p.m. She left for Wanganui on Saturday evening, and we wish her every success in her new start. She has always been the favorite boat between this and Wanganui, chiefly for her first-class accommodation, and no doubt she will soon repay the outlay incurred upon her by her owners. A report of the

repairs, alterations, &c, has already appeared in our colums of the 17th inst., and need no repetition. It is sufficient to say she is now in first-class order, and a credit to the contractors, Mr. E. W. Mills, and Messrs. Coffey and Dixon. Mr Tustin deserves mention for the manner in. which he has carried out his work on board, and reflects great credit, " • .■" s
