UNDER POSTAL CONTRACT with the GOVERNMENT OF QUEENSLAND THE steamers of this company run every four weeks between Melbourne and Hongkong, calling at Sydney, .- Brisbane, Townsville, Somerset, Batavia or Samarang, and Singapore. Arrangements have been made for the conveyance of passengers and cargo from Singapore to Marseilles by the steamers of the Messageries Maritimes Company (sailing fortnightly), or to London by the steamers! of Glen, Castle, or China lines ; and from Hongkong to San Francisco by the steamers of the China Trans-Pacific Steamship Company, and of the Pacific Mail Company.
