Iron ore has been' discovered near the Lai Lai railway station, Victoria. , At theJEichmond Eiver the planting of sugar-cane and the production of sugar are reported to be going on satisfactorily. A named Edward Price was on the 13th November crushed to death by a tree at Wambrook. ■ , At a sale held in Victoria 8925 sheep were sold for £12,000. . , The Mayor, and Aldermen of Sydney on the 19th instant visited the Nepean and Warragambah rivers with the view of inspecting their suitableness as a source of water supply for Sydney-r, ; -.■ i , _ , .
