James Birmingham was charged with having been dmnk and disorderly, and was fined 20s. and costs, or in default 48 hours’ imprisonment. •. • ... Robert Johnston, charged with a similar offence, was fined 10s. INCORRIGIBLE. Martha Kane, a lady of eccentric habits and addicted to the frequent application of strong waters, of which she is remarkably fond, "as brought up charged with being drunk and disorderly. She was fined 20s. and costs, with the usual alternative. SUSPICION OF LUNACY. _ George Pain, on suspicion of being of unsound mind, was discharged. CIVIL CASES. The following civil business was disposed of: —Woodward v. Hanison, claim, ~b, fraud summons ; amount ordered to be paid "™‘ n one month. McLaughlin v. Archibald, claim, £l4 Bs.; £5 paid into court, for which verdict was given. Turnbull v. Iveson, claim, .tdi da 4d. ; judgment for amount and costs.
