(from a correspondent.) Ross, Saturday. Mr. Tribe, M.H.R., addressed a crowded meeting of constituents here last nighty He was most cordially received, aud a unanimous vote of confidence was passed in him. (I'EIl PRESS AGENCY.) Christchurch, Sunday. The entries for the Derby closed last night. There were thirty-five entries, including eight by Redwood, five by Nosworthy, and some by Watt, Dodson, Walters, and Campbell were received. W. B. Tosswill addressed the Coleridge electors last night. He declared himself in favor of the North and Middle Islands being made two provinces, with separate legislatures and a federal government, for purely national affairs.
