TO THE EDITOR OF THE NEW ZEALAND TIMES. Sir,—Can you inform mo whether tho ruffian Cameron has undergone his well-merited flogging f I have heard the question asked several times, and I am reminded of it just now by hearing that the poor unprotected creature who was the victim of his brutality is likely to be a mother. It this portion of the justly severe sentence pronounced upon this beast has been remitted, I for one think it 1s a very mistaken exercise of mercy.—l am, etc., Justice.
