RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
Ebidat, October 29. (Before J. C. Crawford, Esq., R.M.), , :i , LUNACY. ■ Christina Gascoigne, on suspicion of lunacy, was dismissed. DRUNKENNESS. Henry Henks was convicted of having been drunk : and incapable, and fined 55., or in default 24 hours’ imprisonment. Margaret Smith for a similar offence was fined 10a. and costs, or 48 hours’imprisonment, a ■ civil side. ' _ There were a number of civil cases on the sheet, which were soon disposed of. One Was settled out of court, ‘in another defendant paid into court, in two cases judgment went by confession, and one case was withdrawn. JUDGMENT FOB PLAINTIFF. J. Turner v. Emeny.—Claim, £l' 4s. for rent. A good deal of evidence was taken, and judgment given for 10s. and costs. J. and B. Sloan v. W. A. Baker.—Claim, £7 7a. No appearance of defendant, and judgment was accordingly given.
