ARRIVAL OF THE ALBION.

Hokitika, Wednesday.

The Albion left on the Mth, at 5.30 p.m. Experienced fine weather throughout. On the 13th passed a schooner painted white, bound westward. Passengers for Wellington : Mr. and Mrs. Aldons, and five steerage. The Suez mail was not telegraphed when the Albion left.

The Cape Ministry have summoned a special session of Parliament to consider Lord Carnarvon’s proposal for federation. The French Government have ordered the formation of a territorial army of 110,000 men. Melbourne, October 14.

The Ministry having resigned, Sir James M’Culloch was sent for, and the House adjourned to Tuesday, to enable him to complete the necessary arrangements.
