Bar — 29*83 N.E. breeze ; fine. Sea moderate. Bluff.—29*6B—S.E. breeze; fine. Barometer falling. The p.s. Manawatu, Captain Evans, arrived at this port at 8.30 a.m. yesterday. She left Wanganui at - 7.30 p.mi on Thursday and crossed the bar at 8 p.m. She passed the ship Teviotdale on the outward tnp, off Mana Island, beating through the Straits. She experienced N.W, winds and smooth water throughout the passage. . . _ . . The barque Canny Scot may be expected shortly to arrive at this port from New York via Adelaide. She is now in Port Adelaide discharging cargo, after which she will sail for this port with the remainder. The s.s. Napier, Captain Butt, arrived in harbor yesterday at 6 a.m.‘from Foxton. She left Foxton at 6.30 p.m., and experienced fine weather and smooth water throughout the passage. The s s. Ladybird, Captain Andrew, arrived at this port yesterday at 11.20 a.m. from Lyttelton. She ' left Port Chalmers at 4.20 p.m. on Tuesday,.and had fine weather from that port to Lyttelton, where she arrived at 12.15 p.m. on Wednesday. She left Lyttelton at 3.35 p.m. on Thursday, and arrived here as stated above. She experienced a northerly swell from Lyttelton to this port. . ‘ ' , , The s.s. Egmont, Captain Irvine, arrived m harbor last night at 10 from Rangitikei. She left that port at 10 30 a.m. yesterday, and had fine weather to Cape Terawiti, and from thence to her arrival a fresh N.W. wind. She brings no cargo.
