Pedigree:—By the celebrated Clydesdale horse Lord Clyde, out of the first-class mare Nelly ; by the renowned champion Blackleg ; grandsire. Black Champion, imported to Tasmania ; granddam, a magnificent Tasmanian mare Fan. Young Lord Clyde is a dark dapple bay, with black points ; very muscular, with superior action, and exceedingly quiet temper, stands 16f hands, with great bone and muscle. Redwood, Esq., at a cost of £7OO, after taking first prize at the United Scotch and English Agricultural Show at Battersea, against all comers. His dam, Blossom, was bred by H. Walls, Esq., of Canterbury, and took several first-class prizes as the best brood mare in the colony; sire Wellington, dam Scotland’s Pride. Terms :—Single mares, £3 10s.; guarantee, £5 55.;: two or more mares, the bona fide property of one owner, as per agreement. Groom’s fee, ss. Owing to his docile temper, and the quality of the' stock he has left behind, combined with the fact that he was perfectly quiet and staunch in harness, ; he was a general favorite there, the proprietor having, refused £350 for him at the close of the last season. . i * . Victory i will be at the following places : Featherston-Monday morning, passing to Greytown, where be will remain on Tuesday; back to Featherston oh Wednesday on his way to the Upper Hutt, passing the Upper Hutton and on to Taita; Hutt on Friday all day, through the Upper Hutt again on Saturday on his way back. THE CELEBRATED CLYDESDALE ; STALLION, “CLYDE.” CLYDE is a beautiful dapple grey, rising 5 years old, stands 17 hands 2 inches, with immense bone and muscle, and of very superior quality. ‘ CLYDE was got by Lockryan, out of the imported Clydesdale mare Nancy. Lockryan, imported from Scotland, was by Champion, the winner of mere prizes, and sire of more prize-takers, than any draught entire in Scotland. CLYDE has proved himself a sure foalgetter, for the last two seasons in the Wairarapa, and has had more mares than any other horse travelling in the Wairarapa. CLYDE is perfectly quiet and staunch.
