Mails close at the Chief Poßt Office, Wellington, as follows: — For Picton, Nelson, New Plymouth, and Manukau, per s.s. Taranaki, on Monday, at 1 p.m. For Napier and Poverty Bay, per ss. Eangatira, on Monday, at i p.m. For Wanganui, per p.s. Manawatn, thi3 day, at 5 p.m. For Blenheim, per p.s. Lyttelton, this day, at 4 p.m. For Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, and Bluff, per s.s. Star of the South, on Monday, at 10 a.m. Edwaud D. Butts, Chief Postmaster. The Cyphrenea is expected- to arrive at Auckland about Friday, the Bth inst. Mails for Sydney will close immediately after her arrival.
