STALLION, “CLYDE.” CLYDE is a beautiful dapple grey, rising 5 years old, stands 17 hands 2 inches, with immense bone and muscle, and of very superior quality. CLYDE was got by Lookryan, out of the imported Clydesdale marc Nancy. Lookryan, imported from Scotland, was by Champion, the winner of more prizes, and sire of more prize-takers, than any draught entire in Scotland. CLYDE has proved himself a sure foalgetter, for the last two seasons in the Wairarapa, and has had more mares than any other horse travelling in the Wairarapa. CLYDE is perfectly quiet and staunch. TO STAND THIS SEASON, at the undermentioned places, the celebrated pure-bred Clydesdale Entire DUKE OE EDINBURGH (dapple brown), by Young Sampson, imported from England ; grand sire, Champion of England ; his dam Gypscy, by Prince Royal, imported ; g dam by Cobham, g g dam Big Ben. Duke of Edinburgh has been shown at Christchurch four times, and took one first prize and three seconds. Pees, four guineas each mare. Reduction will be made for two or more mares, the bona fide property of the same person. All fees to be paid on or before Ist January, 1876.
