Three city milkmen have been fined 40s. each for adulterating milk. One of the samples contained 20 per cent, of water. At a meeting held last night, the following resolution was carried ;—“ That a memorial be presented to the Government, requesting that his Excellency the Governor be advised to nominate a member for the Upper House from this district, in place of the late J. P. Taylor.”
