The Customs revenue collected at the port of Wellington yesterday was as follows:
Mr. George Thomas offered yesterday for public competition at Mr. O’Shea’s stores, a piece of land known as the site of the Highlander Hotel, situate at the junction of the Tinakori-road and Thorndonquay, and adjoining the property of the Hon. W. B, Rhodes on the Hutt road. The.land was sold in three allotments, each having a 30ft. frontage, and realised respectively as follows:—No. 1, £3 per foot frontage; No. 2, £2los. per foot frontage; and No. 3, £2 2s. 6d. per foot frontage.
