Now, however, a question arises whether such is actually I the case." The Amf-ricax (Waltham) "Watch Cosipaxy ,-e conclusively solved this problem. At their unique establishment they manufacture a complete Watch under one roof, making every paht oe it by machinery, which is of the most perfect construction and accuracy. The result is the production of an article that—from the rapidly-growing demand it crea es—seems destined to supersede all hand-made Watches whatever. During the last twenty years SOO.OOO of the Walthani Watches have been sold in America, and have given such practical evidence of their durability and accuracy, that they are now adopted as standard time-keepers throughout the principal part of the Railway system of the United States. So vast and comprehensive are the mechanical appliances at the Waltham Factory, and so numerous aire the Company's staff of employes—exceeding a thousand hands—that although upwards Or 100,000 UIiUILY-FINLSILKD Watches are soiv axxuai.lv manufactured by the Company, the supply is still inadequate to the demand. An illustrated pamphlet, descriptive of watchmaking by machinery at Waltham, free by post (on quoting name of paper in which this advertisement appears), and price lists furnished to the trade, on application to BOBBINS AND APPLETON, General Agents for the American Watch Company 16, HATTON GARDEN, LONDON, E.C.
