WELLINGTON RECREATION GROUND.
TO THE EDITOK OP THE NEW ZEALAND TIMES. Sib, —I cannot help admiring the manner in which "Sussex" meditates the improvement of the Recreation Ground by placing sheep thereon in order to eat the grass down, but his theory does not in any way allude to Mr. Bromley's explanation respecting the trustees of the said ground. "That is the question, Whether it is nobler in the minds To suffer the slings and arrows Of Messrs. Crawford and Co., Or to take up arms against them." Would it not be best to appeal once more to the dormant spirits of the patrimonial trustees on a more serious and worthy subject than "food for sheep." But first and foremost, who are the trustees? Secondly, will they give the cricketers a privilege in knowing? The last and most important question, do they intend to lay out any more money on the ground ? At present, it is a disgrace to ■Wellington, the Empire City of JSew Zealand. —I am, &c, E.E.E.
