FOOTBALL.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE NEW ZEALAND TIMES. Sir.—l am much surprised at the apathy shown by tho "Wellington football men concerning the coming match with Auckland, They are as a rule very fair players, but want a good deal of practice in kicking, only a few being able to kick really well. They also want training, their want of wind being shown very plainly in tho late match with Wanganui. I may say also that there is a want of system in their play. Now, if they have any desire at all to uphold tho honor of their province in tho coming match, they might at least turn up at tho Albion ground of an afternoon for a punt about, when by tho time the Aucklanders arrive they would find themselves in wind, and also able to kick a drop kick with a little more certainty than at present,—l am, &c., Looker-on.
