The ship Rodney was berthed yesterday, and is expected to commence discharging cargo this day. The balance of the immigrants’ luggage was discharged yC Arettixn furnished to the City Council by the Piermaster, Mr. Mnndle, showed that during August the arrivals at Wellington were—Sailing vessels, 40; tonnage 8393 tons; steamers, 58; tonnage, 14.544; aggregate number of vessels, 98; aggregate tonnage, 22,937. The s.s. Hawea, Captain Wheeler, left Manukau at 3.30 p.m. on Monday, and arrived at Taranaki at six o’clock the following morning ; left at noon the same day, and arrived at Nelson at 12.30 a.m. on Wednesday! Left again at 10.30: reached the French Pass at 1 30* p m and arrived at Picton at 5.30 p.m., from whence she sailed at 4.30 yesterday morning, arriving here at 9.20 a.m. w , , , , Tt . The s s Albion, Captain Underwood, cleared Port Phillip Heads at 8.30 p.m. on the 22nd August; passed Swan Island at 2 p.m. on the 23rd, the> Solanders at 6 a.m., and arrived at The Bluff at 11.30 a.m. on the 27th. Left The Bluff at 4.30 pm. same day, and arrived at Port Chalmers at daylight on the 28th Left Port Chalmers at 4 p.m. on the 30th, and arrived at Oamaru at 8p m. same day. Left Oamaru at 7 p m. on the 31st, and arrived at Lyttelton at 9 a.m. on Wednesday. Left Lyttelton at 4.30 p.m. same day, and arrived at Wellington at 9 a.m. yesterday. The Albion experienced strong southerly gales and high breaking sea to The Bluff ; from thence to Lyttelton, light airs and pleasant weather; and from Lyttelton to here, fresh northerly winds.
