PROJECTED DEPARTURES. Newcastle.—Robin Hood. Napier and Poverty Bay.— Rangatira, s.s., this day. . ... Southern Ports.—Taranaki, s.s., 24th inst. BY TELEGRAPH. PORT CHALMERS, Saturday. SiTT.rn : Hawea, s.s., for Northern Ports. AUCKLAND, Saturday. Sailed : Tanpo, s.s., for Taranaki. Messrs. McMeckan, Blackwood and Co. f s s.s. Omeo arrived at this port at 9 a.m. on Saturday. She left Port Philip at 2.30 p.m. on the 7th inst.; passed the Sisters Islands at 6 p.m. on the following day, and the Solander at G a.m. on the 14th ; arrived at The Bluff at 2 p.m., landed passengers, discharged cargo, and left again at 9.30 p.m., arriving at Port Chalmers on the 15th. She experienced strong S.E. winds, with high seas, from Melbourne to The Bluff, and fine weather, with strong northerly winds, from thence to Port Chalmers. Left Dunedin on the ISth; arrived at Lyttelton on the 19th ; left on the 20th. and arrived at Wellington as above. Experienced fine weather, with light northerly winds, from Lyttelton to Weilington. The barque Malay, Captain Hill, from Newcastle, arrived at this port on Saturday morning, at 6 o'clock. 'She left Newcastle on the 10th inst, and experienced variable weather throughout the voyage. Captain trill reports the barque Spirit of the South off Terawiti on Friday last. The Malay brings 493 tons of coal and ten cases of fruit. The ketch Falcon, Captain Fisk, from Blenheim, arrived at 9 o’clock on Friday night. She crossed the bar at 9 o’clock on Friday morning, and had fine weather during the run over. The s.s. Rangatira, Captain Griffiths, from Napier, arrived at this port on Saturday at noon. She left Napier at noon on the 20th inst., and passed the s.s. Kiwi about twenty-five miles south of the Kidnappers, bound for Napier; rounded Cape Palliser at 8.40 next morning, and arrived at this port as above. She experienced from Napier to Cape Turuagain light southerly winds, and from thence to the Heads a fresh breeze from the N.W., with smooth water throughout. The s.s. Easby, Captain Kennedy, left the wharf shortly after 10 a.m. on Saturday, for Newcastle, She carries a large number of passengers.
